Meta and Google both say they made the sale. Shopify took one order.
You open Meta and it says your ads made sales. You open Google and it says the same. Then you count the orders in Shopify, and there are fewer than either one claims. So which ads really bring in buyers? Right now you cannot tell, and you are paying for all of them.
A 30 minute call first. I tell you on the call whether I can help, before you pay anything.
Each ad platform counts its own way, and none of them checks Shopify.
Your store is not broken, and nobody is lying to you. Each platform counts sales by its own rules. Here is how one order turns into two or three.
Both take the credit
A shopper sees your ad on Instagram, then clicks your ad on Google, then buys. Meta counts that sale. Google counts it too. Shopify counts one order.
The tracking fires twice
The little bit of code that tells Meta or Google "a sale happened" sometimes runs twice on one order. Then one sale is reported as two.
Buyers who were coming anyway
A loyal customer was always going to buy. They scrolled past your ad on the way. Now the ad gets the credit for a sale it did not make.
Refunds that never come off
When an order is refunded or cancelled, Shopify takes it off. The ad platforms usually keep counting it.
The gap is not the problem. The decisions you make from it are.
Meta and Google use their own counts to decide where your money goes next. If they count sales that never happened, they keep spending on ads that only look good. Not the ads that sell.
You do the same thing when you read the numbers. You put more money behind an ad that seems to work. The ad doing the real selling may get less. Every month the numbers stay wrong, your ad budget follows them.
I find your real sales number, then get the platforms counting closer to it.
The call
30 minutes. You tell me what Meta, Google and Shopify each say. I tell you whether I think I can help.
I count
I put your Shopify orders next to what each platform claims and find where the extra sales come from.
I fix the counting
I fix the tracking that counts twice or counts the wrong thing. Then the platforms learn from real sales.
You spend with confidence
You can see which ads bring in buyers, so you put more money behind those and less behind the rest.
The numbers will never match exactly, and I will tell you that up front. Each platform will always count a little its own way. The goal is a gap you understand, so you can trust what you are looking at.
Built for Shopify stores already paying for ads.
This is for you if
- You pay for Meta or Google ads every month
- Add up what Meta and Google say they sold, and it comes to more than Shopify took
- You have stopped trusting any of the numbers
- You are not sure which ads to keep and which to switch off
Not the right first step if
- You do not run paid ads yet
- Your store is not on Shopify
If you go ahead after the call, the first step is my $285 audit. The fee comes off the cost of the fix. How the audit works.
